Lamb Pasta

So we have our first guest post. This post is by Mr. Mack and he has made his signature lamb pasta. Once a week Mr. Mack cooks dinner (has promised to cook twice a week this year onwards) and when he wields the skillet I welcome the break from cooking and the results are spectacular! Here is the recipe in his own words 🙂

A simple effective dish which tastes lovely and even impressed my wife 🙂

Ingredients:

  • Minced Lamb (400 gms) (M&S Select Farms Lamb Mince 20% Fat)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 pack of mushrooms (300 gms M&S White Mushrooms)
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • Oil
  • Penne Pasta (250 gms)
  • 1 bottle Dolmio sauce

Method:

Chop the onions, and then fry for two mins

Add the minced lamb, and cook on a very low heat, stirring gently until the lamb is browned

Add chopped mushrooms and chopped peppers and cook on low heat for a further three minutes, stirring as you do.

Add the Dolmio sauce, stir, and cook on a medium heat.

Once the sauce has reached boiling point, reduce heat, and simmer gently for a further ten minutes

Add the pasta to boiling water, and bring to the boil

Take off the saucepan lid and continue boiling

In total, cook the pasta for 12 minutes

Drain the pasta

You are now ready to serve!
